Brazilian Modernism
New collection influences
Rooted in a brand history inspired by global craftsmanship, Larsen designer Beatrice Bostvironnois turns to Brazilian Modernism as the creative force behind this year’s textile and wallcovering collection. Drawing from modernist themes of minimalism, organic influences, and Indigenous Brazilian culture, the collection showcases a dynamic range of luxurious textiles and bold, textural wallcoverings.

At the heart of this collection is the mid-century modernist legacy of avant-garde Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and renowned landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx. Their visionary work inspired key elements, including the Brasilia linen embroidery, a striking tribute to Burle Marx’s iconic designs.
The textures, hues, and naturalistic patterns of this collection echo the vibrant landscapes and Indigenous artistry of Brazil. The stylised Amazonia design captures the flowing forms and rich colours of the Amazon River and rainforest, while the graphic Pinene wallcovering mimics the organic texture of tree bark. Meanwhile, the geometric motifs of Dia and Timba sheers pay homage to hand-carved patterns found in ancient Indigenous architecture, infusing the collection with cultural depth.
This collection is sits within a broader movement among designers and architects who are embracing a tactile, craft-driven approach to Modernism.
